College. We all need to think about it sometime. posted Nov 5th 2009, 12:23PM

Stress for me has been blessedly merciful lately.....it's still there, but not quite as badly as it was a good month, month and a half ago. Also, mostly for other reasons, more than the same ones.
COLLEGE. It's on the horizon. (A semester and a few weeks away? A year from actually attending? What?) It's close. And it's going to snipe me dead soon.
I'm debating all my options, and the only thing i'm sure of is that i am definitely staying in-state. So far though, my biggest options are:
-Attend a 2 year community college, then transfer into a 4 year college as a junior, of course making sure that all the credits transfer. 2-year colleges i'm choosing from: Front Range Community College, Red Rocks Community College, then transfer to a school listed below. (because i'm poor and community colleges are cheap and good if you want your gen. ed. courses out of the way. Plus, saves me 2 years of tuition at a 4 year college....that's a difference of like, $30,000. Invaluable, frankly.)
-Attend a 4 year college right out of the gate, options being: Colorado State University (CSU), Regis University, or University of Northern Colorado (UNC). (not too good an option considering i'm penniless and i'm putting myself through, probably with massive resulting debt, but i do want the classic college experience...)
-Attend the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA).....(because i'm poor, and getting my entire college paid for is very, very appealing. Just not sure how well i'd hold up in the basic training regimen, plus they're not too huge on art courses, i hear...good if you wanna learn to work or fly a plane or something, but let's be honest, could i really do that?. >>
Out of the 4 year colleges, cheapest to most expensive goes: UNC, CSU, Regis....i'm just glad i trashed the idea of going to University of Denver (DU) early on....the tuition for that place made me choke when i first heard what it was....($44,000/yr...A YEAR. Do the math, that' a good $176,000 for a full 4 year education. Good luck having money for food, clothing, and housing....FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.)
ANYWAY. The most appealing options so far for me are the USAFA idea and the community college idea. Peer pressure wants me to do the 4 year idea though. xD
Opinions? Got any college stuff you worry about, too? Want to scare me with how much massive soul-eating debt i'll rack up? Comment plz. C:

Cuz i've got best friends here. These guys rock. Check them out.
- a great poet, my best friend here, and a guy worthy of an award for his caring, heart, and human decency. He's awesome, and is currently working on a way to bend time and space to access a wormhole so i can give him a real hug.
- my other best friend. Great to talk to, creative, a rapidly blossoming poet with incredible talent for drawing tribal designs and swirls.
- My oversea-sister in Doctor Who fandom. A great writer, entertaining person, and as kind as....well, something you can describe as really uber kind. I owe her greatly for teaching me how to use the voice messaging feature on MSN IM.
- My boyfriend, and a case display in the art of being a gentleman. Love him to bits An awesome musician (doesn't know his own talent, lol xD) and fanfic writer. Huggable to the max and the best cuddler i've ever known. Plus, he just rocks my socks off. >3>
Also.... just watched an episode of Sarah Jane Adventures (Doctor Who spin off, aimed at children x3). And it had David Tennant in it!!
I'm going to miss him. ;-;
Imma miss him tooo. D: Though i am eager to see how this new guy will do. =/ I'm sure if the director didn't think he was a good replacement for David Tennant, then he wouldn't have been cast....but then again, it is hard to see anyone else as a better doctor than Ten....Ten just....IS the Doctor.
Coolies~ .w. Doing okay, myself. The weather and life both sneak up on me sometimes, but the highs outweigh the lows, so i'm doing alright. xD That and my feet are cold...:C
All I have to do is color the picture, but I'll probably do that later tonight. Right now I'm making buttons for my website and stuffs. I plan on making a lot of flash content.
